He completed his MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai.
He obtained advanced fellowships in Arthroscopy and Sports Orthopaedics from premier institutions in the USA and the UK.
He is Head of the Centre for Sports Medicine and Director of Arthroscopy & Shoulder Services at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he has been working full-time since 2008.
He has performed nearly 10,000 surgical procedures, including over 8,000 arthroscopic surgeries, with outcomes surpassing international benchmarks.
He pioneered several landmark procedures in India, including the first Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement, the first Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation for knee cartilage repair, and the first navigation-guided arthroscopic ACL reconstruction.
He serves on the medical advisory committee of the International Cricket Council and is the team physician for several national sports teams.
He has treated numerous Olympic medalists, international athletes, and professional sportspersons across cricket, badminton, wrestling, boxing, football, and kabaddi.
