Work Experience of Dr. Giriraj Bora

He completed his MBBS from JLN Medical College, Ajmer, followed by MS in General Surgery from the University of Rajasthan.
He served as a Senior Resident in GI Surgery at SGPGIMS, Lucknow, where he advanced his clinical and surgical training.
He completed his MCh in HPB and Gastrointestinal Surgery from G.B. Pant Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.
He joined Artemis Hospital in 2016 and played a major role in developing its liver transplant program into one of the most advanced units in India.
He has performed more than 2,000 liver transplants, including both living and deceased donor procedures.
He successfully carried out Rajasthan’s first liver transplant and the state’s first living donor and deceased donor liver transplants.
He currently leads a specialized unit that performs complex graft transplants, including right posterior and monosegment grafts—achieved by only a few global liver centers.
He has substantial expertise in managing complex HPB surgeries and advanced interventional procedures such as TIPS, TARE, TACE, and angiographic embolisation.
