He was previously Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, where he played a key role in developing the Institute of Neurosciences.
He has been instrumental in establishing and leading successful movement disorder and DBS programs at multiple premier institutions in India.
He has contributed significantly to neurosurgical education, training, and program development across the country.

Awards & Recognition

He established the MCh Neurosurgery training program at the Institute of Neurosciences, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore.
He set up a comprehensive and successful Movement Disorder Program at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore.
He initiated DBS programs for Parkinson’s disease at NIMS Hyderabad, KEM Hospital Mumbai, and Apollo Hospital Hyderabad.
He was selected for advanced DBS training in the Netherlands as part of a prestigious Indo-Canadian collaboration.
He organised the first International Workshop on Surgery for Movement Disorders at M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, featuring the world’s first live DBS surgery relay.
He served as a Member of the Board of Studies at NIMHANS for three years.
